People say Gaza is destroyed, and it’s true, but it’s small, just over 300 square kilometers, and most of it is in ruins. But when you look at Ukraine, the scale is different. Whole cities like Mariupol, Bakhmut, and Avdiivka are basically gone, and the destruction stretches for hundreds of kilometers along the front. So in Gaza it feels total because it’s everywhere in a tiny space, while in Ukraine it’s spread out, but the overall damage is on a much bigger scale
